Need a Box for a Bulky 6 x 6 Card? I Hear Ya!

I've been creating cards lately, as you know, and ran into a little situation...I couldn't find an envelope, box, or envelope box to put them in.  I couldn't just run to the store and get one...

My Easter card to my Mom was completed and I couldn't figure out how to send it and I hadn't had time to create a box...I just had to do the best I could...She loved the card and said she would frame it...what a Mom...she's always been that way...so encouraging (I love you Mom)....anyway I digress...

So I found this beautiful site; where you can create boxes for your projects...I'll get on it this weekend and see what I can come up with...here's an example of one by Maddy Hill.

Thank you, as always, for stopping by...I hope you enjoy the tutorial I found!  Have a blessed Friday!!

LOTV Challenge 93 - Easter

Well, it's time for another LOTV Challenge "try"!  I hope you're smiling...I am!  I created this card with the challenge, and Mom, in mind.  I was going make a card for her...she already knows that it will be late...and well...it's going to be.

So much going on...anyway...Here it is:

Let me know what you think :)

With this one I ordered the stamp (you've seen it already) from LOTV...the flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts, as well as, the lace.  The little pearls are from the Martha Stewart collection...the swirly pearls that created the stem are from ZVA Creative...it's a little bit of everyone!  I colored my lil guy with Promarkers that I purchased through Carpe Diem.

Anyway...There it is!!  Happy, Happy Easter Everyone!!!

Blessings and hugs to all!

Great Product! Great Service!

Good morning everyone!

You might have noticed a little "badge" on the right side of my screen for I Brake for Stamps.  This company is now a vendor for Wild Orchid Flowers and many other wonderful supplies.

I wanted to bring this to your attention for a couple of reasons.  Prior to this, we used to order our florals through the Wild Orchid Flowers site, and our items were shipped from the UK.  With I Brake for Stamps your order is placed and shipped here in the USA.  The staff has the product packaged, sent, and at my door, so quickly, that I almost feel like it's the next day!

Please take a moment to check out the site and their products!  Oh, and join the forum too!  Funnnnn!

Fab and Funky Challenge ~ All Spotty and Dotty

I'm finding new Craft Challenge Blogs all the time and hopefully, I'll get a "link list" started so that you can explore them too!

It's amazing the talent that is out there...I decided to use one of my LOTV stamps to create this little card for the challenge at the Fab and Funky Challenge event.  I liked the idea of the Spotty and Dotty theme...and well...I just wanted to create something new...

Here's the result...still learning...still having fun...

It's Time Again for the LOTV Challenge ~ Happy Birthday

I've decided to give it another whirl!!  What fun...these stamps are so adorable and frankly, it's fun to create something of your own.  I recently received 3 new stamps from LOTV...so I think you may be seeing a few creations.

I want you to know that this is something very new for me.  I'm learning through seeing the creations of others...looking at tutorials...and practicing...I get a little frustrated...go back to the tutorials and try again!  If you love scrapping and cardmaking you really need to try this.  I think you'll really enjoy it.

Enough said, here's the latest entry:

Hope you're having a wonderful week!  Blessings and warmth to you!  Remember to cast your cares upon Him who cares for you!

I've Been Working on a Couple of Projects

I've been working on a couple of projects. One is a sprapbook layout of my oldest Grand Daughter. She's all of 2 and 1/2 years old and a true joy to my heart. She is a free-spirit...you can see that already...full of life, love, and smiles.

I've set the layout, changed it, set it...finally I'll get to the point where I'll be satisfied...it's just taking a while.

Here's where I am with it right now...

I've decided to call it Kiani's Dream. It's chocked full of fairies, flowers, and "Once Upon a Time" images. My prayer is that her dreams will be full of love, joy, and life.

If you have any thoughts or ideas I'd love to hear from you, my friends! Have a blessed day, be happy!

Remember to Follow if you like the blog...I'll find you and follow back...

You Have to Start Somewhere...

Okay, I purchased some ProMarkers from Carpe Diem.  I wanted to see if I could "actually" stamp, color, and create a card.  I've never considered myself artistic or even "crafty" but, as you will see...I'm learning in steps and stages.

The one thing I do know is that you have to try!  You need to spend a little time accepting your failures, learning from them, and moving forward.  For a very long time, I would try something and quit if it didn't turn out "perfect".  That sounds silly doesn't it?  Where I would give others the encouragement to keep trying; I would NOT allow myself the same courtesy.  I decided to give myself that chance.

It's a life lesson really...Below is the first card I decided to enter in an LOTV Challenge.  I may not get a second glance, but it's okay, because I'm learning...I'm slowly improving...and best of all I'm having fun doing it!

LOTV Challenge 90 Spring Bunny

The moral of the story?  Give yourself a chance, if you haven't already.  Have fun...try something new...fail, and keep moving forward...keep trying!

Blessings Dear Ones!  Oh, and I've added a new gadget.  If you look to the upper left you'll see verses that carry a Promise, from the One you can fulfill them!
