When Showers Come Often Times Flowers Grow

I remember when I was a little girl I'd sing a little song:

Rain, rain
Go away
Come again another day.
Rain, rain
Go away
Little Johnny wants to play.

Do you remember feeling that way?  We always want the sun to shine and the rain to stop, but we often forget that without the rain there is no growth.  Sometimes, the things that bring us discomfort for a moment are the very things the Lord is going to use to bring us strength; to help us better understand the sorrow of others and to grow stronger in spite of our short lived "soggy" feeling.

For ground that drinks the rain which often falls on it and brings forth vegetation useful to those for whose sake it is also tilled, receives a blessing from God;  HEBREWS 6:7

So remember, when a little rain comes your way, and you feel damp, cold, and sad.  God's purpose for the rain is to give you a rich blessing from above!
