Camel Riding and My Memories

I used my My Memories Suite to create this montage.  We went to the Birmingham Zoo with our daughter and grand babies...and yes, we rode the camel!  Let me tell you; the hump was hard, but as you can see by our faces the event was fun and unique.  I may have posted about this before, but I just now created the page.

Our friend, Mr. Camel, is just above my head...he was very patient with us.  He swayed ever so slightly from side to side as we tried to adjust to his hump and "saddle".

Truly a fun memory enjoyed by all!

God bless you everyone...remember God is in control...he knows before we know and has it covered.

Blessings...Colleen

PS You can pick up the My Memories Suite by clicking on my icon (just lower right of this picture).  If you like what you see, I'll benefit slightly from the sale and you'll have a wonderful time creating fun pages!

His Eye Is On the Sparrow

Throughout my life I have clung to my faith to get me through some of the most difficult times in my life.  Some people call it a crutch...I find this a bit strange; it would be like saying your family is a crutch; your best friend is a crutch, etc.

Perhaps it's because I view my faith, not as a religion, but as a relationship with One who loved me enough to die for me; even before I ever placed a foot on this earth; before my first wail as a babe.

Eye On the Sparrow

Eye On the Sparrow Bird Cage
With those thoughts in mind I created a picture that depicted one of  my favorite songs, as well as, the verse that inspired the song.

I believe I'll put it on Etsy for sale, but I just finished it and I'm trying to decide what I'd like to do.  The frame is black, which offsets the colors within.

Thank you for taking a look today...God bless you and keep you!

Shabby Chic Christmas House

I know...it's hard to believe, but Christmas is just around the corner.  I've added the little birdhouse to my collection to get you prepared! :D

Here's a quick front view of this jolly birdhouse.  It measures 3 7/8 x 4, so it's pretty tiny.  It'll be a perfect addition to your Christmas decor at an excellent price!  Just 6.00 plus shipping, and if you choose to get more than one house; I'll package them together for one shipping fee, as long as they fit in the same box.

I embellished the roof with a Spellbinders embossing template.  I thought it added a touch of class to our Christmas house.

By the time I was finished I had 3 "bird" couples asking for residence!  I had to tell them it was too small for them and that I'd have to work on a larger size!

Blessings and love,

Mom’s 84th Birthday

Well, this September 15th will mark my Mom's 84th birthday. I decided to make something for her. I found the lyrics to a song that I thought spoke volumes with regards to how we feel about our Moms and how I feel about mine.

My Mom is an amazing individual.   If I told you all she has been through in her life you'd think I was telling you a "story".   In all truthfulness, there were many times that the Lord could have taken her home and decided in His wisdom and mercy to leave her here with us.  Thank you Lord.

She has been met with more adversity than most of us can barely imagine... and yet she survived!   I am the luckiest woman in the world to have such an amazing woman in my life.   She is my confidant, my friend, my prayer warrior, and so much more.

Thank you Mom for all you've always done and continue to do.  Thank you Lord for giving her to us for all these years.

You are an awesome God!!

Thank you everyone for watching and reading.

Blessings! Colleen

Shabby Chic is In!

I put together another little Shabby Chic Birdhouse and placed it on my Etsy Site.  I also put together a Treasury of several awesome Shabby Chic items...too much fun!  I hope you'll stop by and see the adorable things that America has to offer.

I couldn't resist adding the Watering Pitcher to the mix of Shabby Chic designs.  So pretty in creams, pinks, and blues.

Thank you for stopping by and may the Lord bless your day, evening, and forever!

Psalm 18:32-34 the God who equipped me with strength and made my way blameless. He made my feet like the feet of a deer and set me secure on the heights. He trains my hands for war, so that my arms can bend a bow of bronze.

Nifty Card Closures

I was looking for some new ideas for card closures and ran across this YouTube video.  This gal had a really simple idea for adding a closure to your cards, albums, and scrapbook projects.
One of the things I love about crafting is that there are so many talented, innovative people out there to give you ideas and add to your fun!

Many thanks to Kellie Murton for this quick video!

I'll definitely be using this on future projects; I'm sure you'll do the same...easy, fun, and adds just a little punch to your designs.

When You Want To Say Thank You

Have you ever had someone do something for you that is just too special to let slip by?  Those times when that special person or persons has been there for you time and time again and you really want them to know how much you appreciate them.

I do! Even when the world seems upside-down; there are still those people who come through for you time and time again!  Those are the ones that deserve something unique, original, and just plain special.

I've created these beautiful cards for just those people in your life.

Within the card is a short verse that says, "My heart is full of thanks and it's all because of you."
I've left room for you to add your own sentiment of thanks and love.

Thank you for stopping by and being here for me!

New Birdhouse for Your Mantel

Finished!!

I finally have a new birdhouse to add to the collection.  I've decided to get started on my crafts again!  I've missed it so much.

Our new birdhouse has a beautiful blend of peaches and creams....yummmm!  It's not for outside....Keep it for your mantel or your windowsill.  Collect them... and show them off!  I'll even customize a collection just for you.  Just send me an email!  Tell me what colors you love and how you would like it decorated.

Thanks so much for visiting!  I'm so glad you stopped by :)

Blessings to you!

A Trip to the Zoo

A little while back I had a chance to take a trip to Alabama.  My daughter, my husband, and our beautiful granddaughters wandered around the Birmingham Zoo and had the time of our lives!  We even rode the camels...and let me tell you something...those humps are as hard as rocks!  I kid you not!  Hard as rocks!!  I wouldn't be able to take much of a journey on those buggers.  I mus admit it was really fun!

By the end of the day our little one "Malia" was tired and just wanted to take a nap.  Our oldest Kiani rang the bell announcing our arrival!! Both the girls fell asleep on the way back to the house.

It was a great day!

I've grabbed a couple of photos and quickly laid them out with my "My Memories" software.  Man, I love this program.  When you make the purchase you have the opportunity to become an affiliate.  For every software program you sell, you receive a very nice stipend.  So please, if you have any interest at all use this code when ordering STMMMS62443.

Thanks for stopping by and visiting.  Blessings and joy everyone!

Now Accepting Credit Cards

Esty has offered sellers the ability to offer a credit card option to their buyers.  I've just signed up.   It just seems, that in this day and age we need to provide every opportunity to our buyers, and this is a super idea from Etsy.

Basically, we fill out an online form agreeing to the "fees" associated with the program and "voila" were up and running. Initially it takes 10 days for the first funds to process and after that things are pretty immediate.  If you're associated with Etsy, I'd definitely recommend this program.

I'm excited to have the opportunity, through Etsy, to provide you with this service.  Thank you for stopping by and I hope to see you at the shop!

Blessings to you always,

Colleen

Hey Everyone! How are you??

Hello my friends,

Do you ever feel like the only friends you have are here, online?  There are times that I feel that way.  I'm not disappointed...I'm thankful to a loving Lord that I have friends and support here.  I'm thankful to you as well!!

I've added a new little birdhouse to my Etsy Shop.  It's slowly growing and I'm learning more and more all the time.  If you ever need any help or have any questions....shoot me a line and I'll do my best to help.

With this tiny birdhouse, I've added a small charm, a sunflower, for warmth and character.  The house is fully decorated in Graphic 45 paper and Wild Orchid florals.  It's so sweet and will add to anyone's mantle or window sill.

Thank you for taking time with me today!  Blessings and love!

Work and Play

One of the most frustrating things about working farther away from home is that it doesn't leave much time to play and create!  Even though it's something that I love I find that I have less and less time to enjoy it.

Today is my husband's birthday; I had to hurry home, cook a special dinner, prepare a package for shipment and still have time to do a few other things...the time just isn't there.  It will come as I plan my days better.

Praying that you are blessed...that you feel God's presence in this hectic life and that as you reach for the stars you remember the moon is within your grasp!

Blessings and joy!

It's Been a While Again...

These are small easel cards, made with a Victorian feel and flair.  I've decided to share them even though they aren't completely finished.  I think they'll be thank you or thinking of you cards.  Any ideas would be appreciated! :)

Be blessed and happy everyone...I miss my time with you....My travels back and forth have taken so much of my time...I'll be back soon!

God bless and keep you!

Oh My Goodness!!

Has it been this long!?  HAPPY NEW YEAR!! Did you have a wonderful time?  Did you watch a little football, eat yummy food, and squeeze the one's you love?  I hope you did!!

The grandkids came over for a week during Christmas!  What an awesome time we had!  So much giggling and cuddling.

Below is a picture that I sent to my Sister for Christmas...She said she loved it and I sure hope she did :)  Try to ignore the ceiling fan...and the poor photography...

I'll write more soon...thanks for hanging in there with me!  For those of you who were following along and wondering...Allie Cat passed away just before Christmas...She's sitting pretty in "someone's" lap; loved and content.

Blessings and warmth,
Colleen
